The Kentucky Reptile Zoo is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, founded in 1990 by Jim Harrison.
The mission of Kentucky Reptile Zoo is extraction of venom for antiserum and for use in medical and pharmaceutical research.
Kentucky Reptile Zoo is also dedicated to education. The Kentucky Reptile Zoo opens the facilities to public tours, offers onsite and offsite programs to ages and groups of many different varieties- Birthday parties, camps, expos, any group and any ages! Kentucky Reptile Zoo also conducts workshops and training for EMT and other Medical Professionals about snakebite treatment, as well as venomous/dangerous reptiles training to Law Enforcement.
Kentucky Reptile Zoo has been featured on National Geographic TV, PBS and Animal Planet!
